Charlie Watts – Founder
Charlie founded Built Green Custom Homes in the early 2000’s. He is a chemical engineer by degree. Charlie worked for Nalco / Exxon where he finished his career in 2000 as General Manager of Operations for North America. He implemented many of the principles and processes he learned during his 30 years in that industry to the residential construction industry.
He began building custom homes in 2001 and eventually transitioned into helping people build their own custom homes, which was his passion. He holds Graduate Master Builder, Certified Green Professional, and Certified Green Professional Instructor designations through the National Association of Home Builders. He is an expert in soil engineering and foundations. Charlie retired from BGCH in 2022. He now enjoys spending time with his great grandchildren and watching his daughter and grandsons continue the BGCH legacy.
